Released June 1st, 2010, this first full length release under the Cricketbows monicker contains the seed for what was to come but it's a very different animal than what you'll experience from a live Cricketbows show in 2016 and though it contains two songs in common, it's a far cry from what you'll hear on the modern day band's fourth full length (1st full length as a REAL band) "Diamonds" recorded in 2014 with Grammy winning Producer Brian Olive (solo, Soledad Brothers, Greenhornes).

    Welcome "hOMe".

A mostly improvisational mindfuck from head guru Chad Wells (Tattoo Artist and leader of legendary punk band The Jackalopes). These recordings were formed in stolen moments in dark corners of the Wells home and feature Wells performing every task in the completion of this work of reflective art while awaiting the birth of his second child and experiencing a consciousness shattering spiritual awakening.

The aural excursions contained herein are beyond genre classification. Psychedelic? Yes. Americana? Check. Blues? Alot of that. Rock N' Roll? Absolutely. Folk? Fuck yes. Retro? Futuristic? Alternative? Country? New Weird America? Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes and yes...

Mastered by Mike Day (Your Favorite Assassin, The Stoics).

Turn on, tune in, welcome hOMe.

Welcoming the sunrise, warming my face Stretching in the morning light And it overtakes me Watching light and sound co-habitate Drifting down the inner state The int'resting state to be in But we will see what's on the other side Taking a fantastic ride Look outside It's all alive, alive The sun is melting It's not an illusion When clouds conspire To create confusion If words were weapons We'd all be dead So drop your defenses and hang your head You can bar your windows You can block your eyes But the sun will find it's way inside Everywhere and everything Comes into view The sun is melting It's not an illusion When clouds conspire To create confusion If words were weapons We'd all be dying So put on your wings girl and lets go flying Break it all into a million more pieces The sun is melting It's not an illusion When clouds conspire To create confusion If words were weapons We'd all be dying So put on your wings girl and let's go flying The sun is melting It's not an illusion When clouds conspire To create confusion If words were weapons We'd all be dying So put on your wings girl and let's go flying Oooh Blueridge Parkway Oooh Blueridge Parkway

Success! Little tiny houses Great big TV's Little tiny houses Great big TV's Little tiny houses and uh Great big TV's Little tiny houses Great big TV's Walk down any lonely street Built on people's broken dreams Circuits and 'lectricity and lies and lies and lies Walk down any lonely street Built on people's hopeless needs Lies and lies and lies Lies Lies What through that window do I see But a window staring back at me Birds fly and doggies bark Everyone sits in the dark And lies, lies, listens to lies Little tiny houses Great big TV's Wake up and smell the coffee And read the morning news Ten million people tuning in to lies, to lies, to lies Little tiny houses Great big TV's Built in to your walls to fill the resonating need Little tiny houses Great big TV's Breathe it all in I think I'll breathe it right in What do we watch tonight? A movie or a fight? I want to make them all bleed Bleed for me, bleed for me Little tiny houses Great big TV's Little tiny houses Great big TV's Little tiny houses Great big TV's Little tiny, little tiny, little tiny Great big TV's Lie, lie, lie, lie, lie, lie They're watching the eye that lies Lie, lie, lie, lie, lie, lie They're one with the eye that lies Great big TV's Ommmmmmmmmmmm

That face That mouth That miracle That sex That lie That dollar bill Teetering on the brink Plunging headlong into the drink Icy cold but sinking fast Images of murdered past That face That mouth That miracle That sex That lie That dollar bill Dominoes clicking through your mind Clawing upward the toothy climb Burning cities with just one wave Universes become enslaved Leaders pointing fingers high Drinking blood and apple pie Trojan horses and open sky Screaming warbirds and rolling lies That face That mouth I think the whole damn thing is chronically inflamed It's bleeding and it's red and it can't be saved Dig a hole and crawl inside Whistling bullets and pouring eyes Running madly mothers cries Another broken soldier dies Politicians never cheat Another stacked deck hand to beat The night has eyes and properties Beyond the realms of sanity And soaking wounds that never heal All open up to claim their meal As demon forces in their oval lair Get fat and rich and loose their hair And loose their hair That face That mouth That dollar bill That sex That lie Dollar bill Dollar bill I can see all of this woven Woven into the fabric of everything Everything they teach you is a lie Everything that's written down is a lie The only truth is right now Its all a lie The whole thing is inflamed And everyone is to blame Now is the time Now is the time Now is the time Now is the time
